What should you do when an event of damage occurs?

Immediately after an event of damage occurs

First of all, act without delay and try to prevent the damage from worsening. Temporarily repair a cracked pipe, cover a hole in the roof, or take other necessary measures. Next, take photographs of all damaged items. Capture both detailed close-ups and overall views of the location and cause of the damage.
Report the claim to the insurance company as soon as possible. Wait for instructions from the insurance company before proceeding with repairs or disposing of damaged items.

When to call the police?

You should contact the police immediately if you suspect an attempted or committed crime related to the event. Do not delay this notification, as postponing may complicate the entire claims handling process.

What do you need to report an event of damage?

Please, have the following information ready when reporting a claim:

  • your insurance policy number,
  • your identification details (full name or company name),
  • personal data (date of birth or company registration number)
  • the exact date and location where the damage occurred,
  • details about the cause and extent of the damage,
  • your bank account number for quick settlement of the insurance claim.

Once we receive your report, we will register the event in our system. We will send you the claim number by email or notify you by phone as soon as registration is complete.

How is the claim settled?

You can report damage electronically, by phone, or in writing by post.

Once we receive your report, we will register your claim and inform you of the claim reference number by email or phone.

After the claim is registered, our claims adjuster will contact you without delay. Depending on the type and extent of the damage, they will coordinate the next steps with you. This may involve a damage inspection by a technician, a request for necessary documents, or a combination of both.

If you have an inspection scheduled, please have your insurance policy ready. This document will help the technician assess your situation more quickly and speed up the entire claim settlement process.

Once all necessary documentation has been received, the claims adjuster will evaluate the claim and calculate the amount of the damage. You will be notified in writing once the claims settlement process is complete, including the method by which the claim will be settled.

In some cases, we may not be able to reimburse you for the damage, or only partially. If this happens, we will send you a written explanation outlining the specific reasons for the denial. We are committed to a transparent approach and providing clear justification for every decision.

The following documents may be required from you during the claims settlement process:
  • Documents to assess your entitlement to claim settlement (e.g., delivery note, purchase contract, proof of payment, etc.),
  • Details and invoices for repair costs,
  • Evidence showing that the damage is beyond repair,
  • Expert opinion.
